Main Goal

The main goal of the project ABOUT GREEN - Green working skills is to educate teachers on the techniques of building miniature self-sustainable houses (from recycled or ecological materials) and on the application of renewable energy sources and new technologies in the field of installations (electrical, water, heating and cooling) through the exchange of knowledge between partnerorganizations and the development of digital platform that will serve to upgrade the knowledge of teachers in partnerorganizations, but also for learning new skills and acquiring competences for all interested persons. With this project, vocational education and training will try to adapt to the needs of the labor market, that is, to learn green skills in order to facilitate the transition to a climate-neutral economy. Project activities of knowledge exchange aim to strengthen partner organizations and improve the competences of educators by providing support to teachers and school leaders to acquire green skills, and to increase the quality of its work. The project partnership will encourage the transfer of innovative practices at the organizational and local level. Through the cooperation of partner organizations, the staff who will participate in project activities will acquire new knowledge adapted to individual needs and goals. The project will result in better cooperation with other countries, as well as better familiarity with the preparation, implementation and monitoring of EU projects, as well as a more positive attitude towards european projects. Through the project activities, a digital platform for learning about the sustainable construction of miniature houses and the use of renewable energy sources will be created.

Teachers

Teachers will transfer the acquired knowledge to future generations of students, they will be in charge of encouraging students to develop awareness about ecology and about energy conservation. Climate change and environmentaldestruction are a threat to the existence of Europe and the world in general. The goal of the project, as already mentioned, isto educate secondary school teachers about sustainable construction with the use of renewable energy sources. The innovative approach wants to be integrated into current education, and the priorities are environmental protection and the fight against climate change. The project aims to influence positive changes in schools, which, like all other sectors of education and training, must take measures in the current crisis related to environmental protection. The result of the project ABOUT GREEN will be a digital platform that will host an online course for acquiring green skills in terms of sustainable construction and the use of renewable energy sources.
